Scarf Post - Follow-up

I never get follow-up questions. Funsie!

If you don't mind sharing, where did you find those and what would you wear with them them??

I found both scarves at Anthropologie here and here.

I find myself often going through my closet and pulling out plain, cotton shirts, either in black, cream or white wishing that I had something to dress them up. I have v-necks and crew neck shirts. I thought the grey scarf would work great for that, especially once fall and winter roll around.

The mint scarf I purchased specifically for my upcoming trip to Toronto. I plan to pair it with a pair of black boot cut pants, a fitted white tee or tank with a denim jacket over top. I need to go out and find a jacket before we go though! I also own a ridiculous amount of purple shirts in various shades. Again, I find myself pulling these shirts out of my closet wondering what I could do with them to dress them up, since plain shirts get a little boring after a while. This scarf has just the right amount of purple in it to pull it all together with a pair of jeans or white capris with sandals.

Too Much Down Time...

Is never a good thing for my pocketbook. Online shopping is a near obsession.

Third Trimester

I have entered the third trimester! As I type that out, my stomach drops a little bit. There is really no turning back now. I mean really. I'm getting nervous. I'm excited too, but mostly nervous at this point. I don't sleep well. I think my thoughts keep waking me up. But I'm doing well overall. I've got some intense back pain that I can only tack up to my sciatic nerve being aggravated by the baby's position. Other than that, I feel pretty good. We got the crib and dresser put together - so pretty. Now I need to put the final decorating touches on the nursery. We also need to finish up our home improvement projects. Should I tell you what we're doing at the end of May and June? Oh, just a little kitchen renovation, that's all. New floors, counters, back splash, paint, trim, fixtures, etc. No stress there, right? :-)

In celebration of my last trimester, I downloaded myself the Labor Mate application on my iPhone. When the time comes, this little number will track my contractions for me, so that I know when it's time to go to the hospital. Neato, huh?

Also on the horizon the Husband and I have a trip planned to visit Toronto. One last hoorah before the baby comes. I'm looking forward to experiencing a little bit of what Canada has to offer. I haven't been to Toronto since I was a kid, and I don't remember it well at all; other than the hotel we stayed in had an escalator. That was the first time I'd ever ridden an escalator, which seemed like a big deal. I wonder if where we're staying this time has one? Only time will tell. . .

My Downgrade

It's time to get back to basics. I've turned into a "big bag lady", but now that a baby is on the way, I'm taking the less is more approach.
A while back I was fixated on replacing my current bag with either a turquoise or fuchsia one. I wanted something fresh and bright. I purchased a Steve Madden bag in fuchsia, but it was just too big. Yes, there is a such thing. So back it went to the store, and my search started over. Then I got to thinking that maybe it'd be a good idea for me to downgrade and get something smaller that I could just toss into a diaper bag and go. Yeah, that's what I need. Something that will hold my cards, license, phone, lip gloss and keys. Something small and handheld. So the Kristin wristlet is what I decided upon. It also fits the turquoise criteria as well. The purse arrives on Thursday. I hope it works out!
